Niagara Private Tours
The Horseshoe Falls at Niagara seen from above, with a tour boat crossing the jade-green water below the mist.

Toronto → Niagara Falls · Private day tours

The falls on your schedule,
not a bus company's.

Your own vehicle, your own guide, collected from your hotel door. No 7:45 AM meeting point, no eleven other pickups before you leave the city.

The same waterfall · two very different days

You are not buying a view. You are buying the day around it.

Everyone sees the same Horseshoe Falls. What you actually choose between is a schedule built for fifty strangers and a schedule built for you. Here is the same Tuesday, run both ways.

Group coach tour

$189/person

Their day

  1. 07:45 Find the meeting point. Royal Ontario Museum, on the street, whatever the weather.
  2. 07:55
    → 09:15
Eleven more pickups across Toronto and Mississauga. You sit through all of them.
  3. 11:00 Arrive at the falls. Three and a quarter hours after you got on.
  4. 11:15 Free time — but the group reconvenes on the guide's clock, not yours.
  5. 14:00 Fixed stops: Parkway, Whirlpool, Floral Clock. In that order, for that long.
  6. 17:30
    → 18:30
Back to downtown — after the other eleven drop-offs, in rush hour.

Roughly 3 hours 15 minutes of that day is spent getting on, off, or waiting for a vehicle you share with fifty people.

Private tour

$325/person at four

Your day

  1. 09:30 Your driver arrives at your hotel door. At the time you picked, because you picked it.
  2. 11:00 At the falls. Ninety minutes door to Table Rock, no detours.
  3. 11:15 Boat cruise now, or after lunch, or not at all. Your guide works around your answer.
  4. as long
    as you like
Stay at the falls. Skip the Floral Clock. Add a second winery. Nobody is waiting on a bus.
  5. 16:15 Niagara-on-the-Lake and a tasting — or straight home if the kids are done.
  6. you decide Dropped at your door. First and only stop on the way back.

You buy back roughly three hours — and every one of them is spent where you actually wanted to be.

The arithmetic

Private costs less than people assume.

Private tours are priced per vehicle, not per head. So the more of you there are, the closer it gets to a coach seat — and past four guests, it undercuts one.

$76 more per person than a small-group seat buys the whole vehicle, a guide working only for you, pickup at your door, and the freedom to leave when you feel like it.

A suggested full day

A starting point, not a timetable.

Every stop below is optional and the order is yours to change. This is what most groups do when they have no reason to do otherwise.

  1. 01

    Pickup at your door

Anywhere in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke or Oakville — at a time you choose, not one you're assigned.

  2. 02

The Canadian side of the falls

Straight to Table Rock and the Horseshoe, with enough time to actually stand there and look at it.

  3. 03 · opt

    Voyage to the Falls cruise

Niagara City Cruises runs to the base of the Horseshoe. Close enough that you will get wet — that's the point.

  4. 04

    Lunch and free time

Eat where you like, or pre-book the Fallsview buffet at the Sheraton. Your guide waits on you, not the reverse.

  5. 05

    The Niagara Parkway

Churchill called it the prettiest Sunday afternoon drive in the world. The road follows the river the whole way down.

  6. 06

Whirlpool Rapids and the Floral Clock

Class 6 rapids spinning through the gorge, then one of the largest working floral clocks anywhere — 12.2 metres across.

  7. 07

    Queenston Heights

The 1812 battlefield and Brock's Monument on the escarpment, plus the World's Smallest Chapel just down the road.

  8. 08 · opt

    Niagara-on-the-Lake and a tasting

An hour or so in one of Canada's prettiest towns, with time for local ice wine and reds if you've added a tasting.

  9. 09

    Home

Dropped back at your door. On a private tour you decide when the day ends, and you're the only stop on the way back.

Before you book

Questions people actually ask.

Is the price per person or for the group?

For the whole vehicle. A full day is $1,299 whether one of you travels or four — which is why private tours get cheaper per head the bigger your group gets.

Do we need a passport or a US visa?

No. The tour stays entirely on the Canadian side, which has the better views anyway. There's no border crossing.

Are attraction tickets included?

The base price covers your vehicle, guide, gratuities and the driving itinerary. Admissions — the boat cruise, Journey Behind the Falls, Skylon Tower, winery tastings — are optional add-ons. Tell us which you want and they're priced into your quote up front.

Is lunch included?

Not in the base price. You'll have free time to eat wherever you like at the falls, or you can pre-book the Sheraton Fallsview buffet as an add-on and we'll build it into the day.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund. Inside 24 hours, no refund. Rescheduling to another date is free any time up to that 24-hour mark. If we cancel — weather, vehicle, anything — you're refunded in full.

Where exactly do you pick up?

Any hotel or address in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke, Oakville and the surrounding GTA. Pearson Airport pickups too. Give us the address and the time.

Can you take children or wheelchair users?

Yes to both. Tell us ages and any mobility requirements when you enquire so we send the right vehicle and plan stops that work.

How long is the drive?

About 90 minutes each way from downtown Toronto, traffic depending. A full day runs roughly eight hours door to door.
